We re-visited Michelin 1-star soba restaurant after the first drive of new Toyota Prius; we tried zyuwari-soba, normal for my wife and larger one for me. Also, we ordered a duck done rare. (Both of them were so tasty!)
A server offered an extra dish of soba in additon to the usual soba cooking liquid. He said this is to make up for the delay of the serve. (We did not think it's late, actually!) This soba was with Japanese ginger (myouga), post larvae (shirasu), and soy-sauce based dipping sauce. This was also great!
We found that we love this local restaurant.

Ofuna - Hase - Yuigahama - Hachimangu - Kitakamakura
10th time! I run in the morning for the first time; Kamakura was not crowded at all, so it's easy to jog.

Bonzo; Michelin 1-star soba restaurant
We visited Michelin 1-star soba restaurant for the first time. I've ordered soba and soy source soap with canard(duck) and Welsh onion. Soba is good; but canard was so tasty and my wife also liked it very much although she selected another dish, soba with vegetables and white bait. Soba might be a bit small, but we really enjoyed it.

Hot spring bath at Maholova-Minds Miura & Sushi Kappou Hougyo
Again, to express my hearty thanks for my wife's day-to-day care for our baby girl, I let my wife take a hot spring bath while I was playing with our daughter at Maholova-Minds Miura (only in Japanese). It cost only 500 JPY if you buy the ticket before 15:30.

Then, as always, we went to our favorite sushi restaurant, Sushi Kappou Hougyo near the hotel. We really enjoyed fresh and big sushi and sashimi!! It cost around 5,400 JPY for two adults. I recommended a dish, jumbo chirashi, in the first picture. She liked it.

I ordered sushi as usual; it's also nice!

Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine and Riviera Zushi Marina
We took Yokosuka line and went to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. Japanese usually make a visit to a shrine on January 1st (or 2nd) to make a wish for a new year. It's around 9:30AM when we arrived at the shrine; so it's not that crowded and we didn't need to wait in a queue.
Then we took a free bus to Riviera Zushi Marina at the bus stop near Kamakura station and ate rice with turban shell at Maguro-ya; it's tasty and I also enjoyed miso soup with pork and radish (ton jiru).
After coming back to Kamakura station, we headed for Starbucks in Onari-machi, west side of Kamakura station. This are is usually not crowded compared to the main street of Kamakura, where Hachimangu is there. We came across my parents-in-law there and had a cup of iced coffee. I like this Starbucks shop; it's spacious and relaxing.
We went back to each home after taking a rest there. It's my first day of 2011.
