Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine and Riviera Zushi Marina

We took Yokosuka line and went to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. Japanese usually make a visit to a shrine on January 1st (or 2nd) to make a wish for a new year. It's around 9:30AM when we arrived at the shrine; so it's not that crowded and we didn't need to wait in a queue.

Then we took a free bus to Riviera Zushi Marina at the bus stop near Kamakura station and ate rice with turban shell at Maguro-ya; it's tasty and I also enjoyed miso soup with pork and radish (ton jiru).

After coming back to Kamakura station, we headed for Starbucks in Onari-machi, west side of Kamakura station. This are is usually not crowded compared to the main street of Kamakura, where Hachimangu is there. We came across my parents-in-law there and had a cup of iced coffee. I like this Starbucks shop; it's spacious and relaxing.

We went back to each home after taking a rest there. It's my first day of 2011.
